Happy Post Spring Break!  I hope everyone had a restful break because for the next few weeks, it will be a "sprint" to the finish line.  I cannot believe that we're almost there!  I'm excited to get back into the swing of things, and I know that you're eager to be back at Ligon to finish your 8th grade year.

Within the next week or two, you will receive info about the 8th grade dance.  We'll be seeking donations to help make that night as magical as possible for you guys.  So, please encourage your parents to send what they can to school when the info is distributed. 

We will spend quite a bit of time over the next two week reviewing, reviewing, reviewing.  Sigh!  I can handle it!  I want to make sure that we are ready for EOGs on May 10, 11, and 12.

Due:  Thursday (typed):  In groups of 3, put together a PG 3-4 minute allegorical fable skit (in Dr. Seuss's style and most likely using animals) about a contemporary issue in our society.  Formulate an opinion about the issue, clearly identify the characters, hand in a script, 1 page summary that identifies allegory, characters, symbols, lesson, create an illustration for your skit.
