Week 5

Parents,

I need a few volunteers on Fridays.  I have two already for Friday, September 27.  One more for a few hours would be helpful.  Your task this Friday will be to take signed M.M (Mystery Museum) topics and put students into groups, based upon at least 1 of their top 5 M.M. topics.

My goal is to get topics back to students by Monday, September 30.  After groups are set, you will write each student’s name on a slip of paper with their topic.   I also need about 160 copies of the M.M. packet made, so each student has a copy.
Then, each Friday in October, I will need volunteers to supervise groups of kids, so they can work on their M.M projects.

October 31 is M.M. presentation day.  I will need at least 5 parents to help out all day if possible.  Your task will be to help students set up their presentations and disassemble them at the end of their class period.

We have a full week this week.  Please make sure you are planning your time well, and don’t forget tutorials are on Wednesdays, 4:00-4:30.  Progress Reports go home Monday!!

Please keep in mind that this page is an overview of things we hope to get done this week.  In order to know exactly what is happening in English, consult your student's planner where nightly assignments should be recorded.

Thank you,

Mrs. G

2nd Week of School (September 2-6)

Howdy!

Please visit this page for weekly updates and scheduled assignments.  The due dates and assignments are scheduled to change to meet the needs of my students.  The best way to know exactly what is assigned and/or due is to check your student's planner/agenda nightly.  Poetry will be included in every Friday class, unless there is some type of interruption to our normal schedule.  We will call this day, "Poetry Fridays."  Students are invited to volunteer to bring a snack to share with classmates; this part of "Poetry Fridays" is completely optional and contingent upon behavior and academic participation.

Sincerely,

Mrs. G
